My Hotels - Guest Directories
My Hotels, an award winning hospitality brand, recognises that people are the balancing point of vital design. Their hotel environments use feng shui to enable the senses to experience the harmony of sound, light, colour, aroma, texture and taste.
SCS Marketing's brief was to design and produce a set of guest directories that could be updated regularly and tailored to their specific location. Cutting edge design was paramount in order to reflect the boutique style of the hotel chain.
It was obvious from discussions with the client that brand image was key, but functionality and longevity had to be considered. The solution that SCS proposed was an oversize A5 'clear' binder with die-cut tabbed dividers and a range of printed text pages.
The clear binder allowed the title page of the text to be seen, this dealt with the problem of different locations. The die-cut tabbed dividers allowed the logo to be used in a creative, yet practical, format and the text pages could be printed and inserted as required.

RESULT - The My Hotel guest directories have been a great success and have been utilised across the chain of boutique hotels. Strong imagery and a simple use of colour and copy have created a flexible and cost-effective solution to the brief.
